About Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyien
Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyien is a light hearted family drama of an elaborate joint middle class family and its strict and disciplinarian mother.
As the formidable matriarch of a joint Rajasthani family, she has rather ably held the reins of her household, made the most significant decisions in the lives of her husband, her five sons and four daughters-in-law.
The story begins with Mrs. Bindeshwari Kaushik’s search for the fifth bahu for her youngest son. According to her, an ideal bahu is one who should be an amalgamation of the elements of nature (fire, water, air, space & earth) akin to the virtues represented by her other four loving, honest and obedient daughters-in-law.
Enter Lovely – a free-spirited, fun-loving, beautiful young girl who believes in making her own rules rather than following anybody else’s. Lovely thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to lie in order to help someone! Quick in her thinking, she can spin a yarn at the snap of a finger but her lies are harmless and never intended to hurt anybody’s sentiments.
What ensues is a light-hearted family drama that follows Lovely’s journey into Bindeshwari’s heart despite their distinctly different approaches towards life.
Zee TV’s Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein completes 100 episodes!
Recently the cast and crew of Zee TV’s Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein celebrated the completion of 100 episodes with great pomp.
The cast of the show, the lead actors Lovely (Ragini Nandwani) and Kartik (Mukul Harish) along with their co-stars Vibha Chibber (Bindeshwari Kaushik), Rajiv Verma (Mr. Kaushik), Gunn Kansara (Gehna), Swati Bajpai (Nimmi), Rubina Shergill (Simran) and Deeya Chopra (Reeya) along with the crew celebrated the success of the show by cutting a three layered cake amidst peals of joy and laughter.
The show tells the story of two diametrically opposite characters – Mrs Bindeshwari and Lovely – living under the same roof as saas-bahu. This light-hearted family drama that follows Lovely’s journey into Bindeshwari’s heart despite their distinctly different approaches towards life is hugely popular with audiences in India and abroad.

When the Kaushik family reach Lovely’s residence they find her missing. They wait for her patiently and by that time a pandit is consulted and they get 2 options – one that is 6 months away and the other 3 days away. Bindeshwari cannot wait for 6 months and announces that the shaadi should commence in the coming 3 days. Amma Sa on the other hand insists on the Godh Teeka immediately. While Bindeshwari walks out to buy some stuff for the ceremony, she sees Lovely climbing up a window. Bindeshwari gets very angry and demands and explanation.
On the day of the Sangeet Lovely gives a solo performance that irritates Bindeshwari, but she wins everybody’s hearts. However, Bindeshwari cant contain herself anymore and decides to tell Ama Sa the truth that kartik and Lovely are already married and this shaadi is just an eyewash for the society to accept them as husband and wife.
